Quilt: July 2019: Confetti Fence

In July of 2019, I finished this quilt, that I’m calling “Confetti Fence”. It was based on my Pantone challenge quilt, with a few adjustments in adding more dynamic color, and altering the finished size to make it easier to get on my longarm. I still wanted to bring in the traditional design influence of the rail fence, but play with scale on several levels. The smallest pieces in this design measure at 1/4″ wide.

Confetti Fence was made with Kona cotton and Alison Glass Mariner’s Cloth. It was machine [strip] pieced on my Juki with Aurifil 50wt. I quilted it on my Juki longarm using Aurifil 40wt, in a linear pattern similar to the Pantone quilt. Warm & Natural batting was used. Binding in Mariner’s Cloth was added to finish the quilt.
