Original Cross Stitch: December 2017

In December, I took on a quick original design cross stitch project to take a break from quilting. The design was created via code (JavaScript) that layers randomly sized triangles one on top of another in a grid space. The colors are randomly chosen from a pie chart that controls the approximate percentage each color is used. Once I created the code generated random design, I brought it into Photoshop and saved it as a cross stitch design with Photoshop grid lines.

The cross stitching itself used DMC embroidery thread, Aida 14 count, and is framed in a Tiny Mighty frame. It is primarily composed of standard cross stitches and 3/4 stitches. I’m happy with how it turned out despite that I’m still a beginner to cross stitching. It’s an Ingrid approved activity!
